Quality Control Technician 1 - Night Shift

We’re looking for a night shift Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri, at one of Sensient’s most critical color manufacturing locations. This is an onsite role that offers stability, structure, and room to grow! As a QC Tech, you’ll play an essential part in testing, analyzing, and ensuring the safety and quality of our products used across food, personal care, and pharmaceutical markets.

What you’ll do:

• Perform in-process and finished product testing using standardized lab methods and procedures
• Analyze and approve or reject samples based on product specifications, recording results accurately
• Operate general laboratory instruments such as titrators, colorimeters, spectrophotometers, and balances
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and safety in lab operations
• Communicate test results clearly to internal departments and contribute to lab-based problem solving

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field such as chemistry, biology, or a related area
• Some hands-on lab experience, either through education or work—entry-level candidates are welcome
• A positive attitude and desire to learn
• Familiarity with chemistry techniques and basic instrumentation
• An understanding of statistical tools and concepts used in quality testing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and detail
• A disciplined, safety-conscious approach to lab work and data handling
