Journeyperson

Position Title:  Journeyperson - Millwright

Location:  Harbor Beach, MI

We are looking for a Millwright with a high level of technical expertise and variety of building infrastructure experience to join our team and play an important role in overseeing the daily operations of machinery and mechanical systems.

What you’ll do:

• Install, operate, maintain, construct, assemble, dismantle, troubleshoot and repair machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, drives, seals, bearings, fans, rotating equipment, etc. 
• Perform work efficiently and safely within compliance of food safety and good manufacturing practices.
• Maintain records for work completed in a neat and organized manner including but not limited to paperwork/computer work associated with the execution of work orders.
• Inspect and service equipment according to preventive maintenance schedule and AMMS.
• Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required.
• Stick, MIG and TIG welding.

What you’ll bring:  

• High school diploma or equivalent. Trade license is preferred; Journeymen Card, apprenticeship/or equivalent trade experience vocational certification.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical field within an industrial site.
• Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, stay on task, self-motivated, and work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
• being able to lift, bend, and move in such a way as to perform job tasks in a safe and approved manner. 
• Must be able to lift 50lb, bend and move in such a way as to perform job tasks in a safe and approved manner. Overhead work / working at heights required.  
• Must be able to operate required hand/power tools, test instrumentation and equipment required by this trade in a safe and approved manner.
