Marketing Manager, APAC
We are seeking for a strategic thinker who can collaborate well with different stakeholders within the APAC region to identify new product opportunities and customers.
This position requires a high degree of collaboration with other functional areas including R&D, Applications Development, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations. The successful candidate should bring along excellent interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of value propositions, and an entrepreneurial spirit. This role will be reporting to the Regional Marketing Director APAC.
This exciting opportunity is 100% on site for 5 days in our Singapore office.
What you will do:
Strategic Focus & Leadership (Key Responsibilities)
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of marketeers, ensuring they leverage the Sensient brand effectively to drive regional growth.
- Strategic Positioning: Identify specific, unmet customer needs and translate them into tailored value propositions and products within the food segment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate extensively with R&D, Application Development, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations to move projects from idea to market.
- Brand Promotion: Plan and manage company participation at major industry conferences, tradeshows, and technical seminars.
Product Introduction & Management (NPD & Portfolio)
- New Product Development (NPD): Drive the NPD project management cycle, ensuring new food/flavor ingredients are developed and launched effectively.
- Launch Excellence: Develop comprehensive product launch packages, including technical data sheets, marketing materials, and sales pitches.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the existing product range, identifying items that add complexity and proposing solutions for streamlining the portfolio.
- Market Intelligence: Map and analyze market movements (e.g., trends in natural colors, clean label) in Asia Pacific to ensure products remain competitive.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree is required in Science, Marketing or a related field.
Ten years’ progressive business experience with at least five years in a Sales or Marketing role.
Must be a leader and self-starter who is seeking upward mobility.
Occasional international travel with APAC region.
Strategic Thinker and Result Oriented – Has written business goals, written strategic plans, written compelling value proposition statements and knows what must be done and why. Has developed action plans and followed them. Continuously monitors performance and is accountable against goals.

Excellent Communication Skills – Clear and persuasive speaker and presenter who responds well to questions and demonstrates superb group presentation skills. Creates and sustains two-way communication opportunities. Asks thoughtful questions.
Good Business and Sales Acumen – Does not strategize "on the fly" nor overanalyze. Is persistent with excellent follow up and organizational skills. Maintains continuous contact with prospects and builds networks inside customers.
Proven experience in product management – Managed product portfolio, abled to analyzed market trends and customer needs to drive its product portfolio to enlarge sales revenue.

Sensient’s global innovation center GIC will bring together scientists and technologists from many different Sensient business units, including: Food colors and flavors – Pharmaceutical - Sensient natural ingredients – Bionutrients - Cosmetics – Fragrances.
With a focus on new product development and application extension, the Center will exemplify deep collaboration and cross-pollination of Sensient Groups. This will allow the teams to innovate in a broader sensory context of flavor, color, texture, sight and aroma.
