Accountant Senior, Singapore

We are seeking a self-driven and collaborative individual who should be able to work independently to serve as a business partner. The successful candidate will work directly with the senior leadership team as well as internal stakeholders to provide commercial decision support as well as providing financial information to support all areas of the business aspects.  You will be responsible for full the spectrum of financial planning and analysis including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and business planning. 

This position is on-site 5 days per week in our office near Buona Vista. 

What you will do: 

• Financial Planning & Management Reporting: Preparing and managing daily accounting and financial matters of the Group office. Preparing core finance reports to support monthly, quarterly, and yearly management reporting, financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, business reviews, and variance analyses. Conducting variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted financial performance.
• Commercial & Sales Analysis: Evaluating sales performance, pricing, and profitability figures. Preparing detailed management reports on commercial metrics. Participating in corporate strategy development and performance optimization analyses. Generating forecasts and analyzing market trends in sales, finance, and revenue operations.
• Working Capital & Capital Budgeting: Leading corporate efforts to optimize the Group’s working capital position. Managing the Capital Approval process, including Return on Investment (ROI) analysis, capital budgeting, asset impairment reviews, and disposal processes.
• Operational Control & Strategy: Preparing and executing monthly payroll management, including individual employee tax matters. Recommending and implementing appropriate solutions to achieve business efficiencies, strengthen internal controls, and provide strategic accounting guidance across the Group. Assisting and supporting ad-hoc projects, including providing back-up coverage for other roles within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region as required.
• Strategic Team Support: Supporting senior analysts in developing complex financial models that inform critical business decisions. Collaborating heavily with various departments to gather relevant operational and financial data for analysis.

What you will bring: 

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) ideally within a trading/distribution/manufacturing environment or relevant exposure to such as part of public accounting experience.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
• Technical Tools: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and dedicated financial modeling tools. Familiarity with global financial reporting systems (ERP/EPM software) is a strong plus.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective cross-departmental collaboration.
