Associate Controller

Sensient Colors is seeking an Associate Controller to join our team in St. Louis, MO. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of our Colors business and make a true difference. The role will get involved in all aspects of the business and find ways to improve financial performance.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure the integrity/accuracy of the entity books and compliance with the general accounting principles under US GAAP, timely completing the month end financials 
• Provide effective financial and business analysis to support decision making  
• Drive profitability by designing cost reduction plans and supporting commercial activities 
• Manage and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate standards  
• Optimize financial processes within the organization 
• Work cross-functionally with cost accounting 
• Mine data and build ad hoc analysis for businesses and operations 
• Support projects that drive improvement in efficiency, standardization and effectiveness 
• Demonstrate problem solving and trouble shooting skills 
• Support construction of operating budgets 

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in budgeting and month-end reporting to seamlessly run budgets and avoid compliance issues 
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and risk management, elevating the value of the finance department 
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired
• Proficiency in data analysis will help you drive informed business decisions 
• Proficiency in ERP’s and Microsoft Office Suite 
• A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline. 
• CPA is a plus but not required.
