We are looking for a Beverage Application Technologistto join our team and support the Flavors business in North America.

This position is a key member of the Sensient team, where you will be required to collaborate at our onsite in Hoffman Estates, 5 days per week. 

What you’ll do:

• Create beverage products to demonstrate Sensient’s product lines and effectively communicate the status of projects to the Applications Manager.
• Demonstrate leadership skills by integrating creative and technical expertise in a team environment. Lead cross-functional project activities.
• Accompany Account Representatives on customer calls to help educate our customers on company strengths and capabilities. Assist the customer by providing solutions for their product and process challenges.
• Identify and focus resources on new technologies and ingredients that will provide innovative solutions to customer and industry issues.
• Utilize the expertise of the creative flavorists and sensory groups to provide flavor systems that meet or exceed project objectives.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent in experience in Food Science/Food Technology, Chemistry or related technical area.
• At least 3 years of experience in the beverage and/or flavor industry with a background in product development
• Experience in the alcohol industry is preferred and the candidate should be able to taste alcoholic products. Should demonstrate an understanding of flavors and beverage ingredients with expertise in key technical areas.
• Must have the ability to accurately formulate finished beverage products in most or all of the following: carbonated, still, juice, alcohol, retort, nutritional, etc.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

This role pays a competitive starting salary of $75,000 - $95,000.  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
